Climate and Weather

The Rogue Valley climate can be classified as typical Mediterranean: four distinct seasons with dry, hot summers and long, cool, wet winters. Rain is expected from September through June with occasional summer thunderstorms and light snowfall and fog in the winter.

Nights in Ashland—even in the summer—are significantly cooler than days. Summer days sometimes exceed 100° (typically in July and August) while winter temperatures are in the 20–60° range. Spring and autumn temperatures range between summer and winter temperatures with periods of sunny, warm weather likely at anytime.
